In spring 2025, Oksana and Ivan, a Russian-speaking couple originally from Uzbekistan, contacted us with a clear dream — to have an officially recognised civil wedding in Italy, specifically on the shores of Lake Como. With only three months remaining before their chosen date, we immediately began the full planning process. From the very first conversation, it was evident that their priority was a legally binding marriage, recognised in Italy, Russia, and internationally.

How We Curated Their Lake Como Wedding Experience:

• Selected the ideal location and a charming hotel on Lake Como
• Managed the complete remote preparation of all required legal documentation
•Translated, legalised, and submitted documents to the Italian municipality (Comune)
• Coordinated all trusted suppliers, including photographer, stylist, florist, and an additional villa for the wedding photoshoot
• Arranged a professional interpreter, an essential requirement for civil marriage in Italy when the couple does not speak Italian
•Maintained constant communication with the couple before, during, and after the wedding day
• Delivered the official legalised marriage certificate before their departure home

The wedding day was overcast, and during the ceremony the rain began to fall. Yet it is precisely moments like these that make each love story feel truly alive and authentic.

Oksana and Ivan embraced the weather with warmth and smiles: umbrellas, rain-soaked pathways, and a gentle sense of chaos only highlighted their closeness, mutual support, and effortless connection.

We arranged the ceremony exactly where the couple had always dreamed — on an open terrace by the lake on Lake Como — despite the beginning of the rain. Thanks to the couple’s trust and calm presence, as well as our direct communication with the deputy mayor, we were able to secure approval to proceed with the official civil registration outdoors.

Guests were provided with umbrellas, while the photographer worked under challenging weather conditions. Yet it was precisely this that made the images so powerful — alive, atmospheric, and filled with genuine emotion and unity.
